Creating Great Videos:
Be Yourself
When you're on camera, dress the way you do, laugh the way you do, be happy or sad the way you are. If you're goofy, so be it. If you're a nerd, so be it. If you're altogether too-cool-for-school, so be it. There's a few billion people on this planet. Surely there's someone out there that's perfect for the real you (actually, statistically speaking there's probably a few thousand people that are perfect for you).
Be Brief
Sixty seconds aught to do it. Don't worry, if you got something more to say, go to town (we're got plenty of space on our servers). In general, however, short-and-sweet seems to work best.
Be Creative
Like to dance? Have someone film you busting your best move. Or try a day-in-the-life-of video. How about creating a series about the trials-and-tribulations of your quest for true love (or the ultimate "hook up".) In other words, use your imagination.
Share Your World
There's good reason we enable you to post multiple videos with your profile. Most people's lives are made-up of so many facets: work, play, friends, family, school, etc. Share as much of your life as you're comfortable sharing. The more you share, the more people will get to know the real you before contacting you. However, at the same time, be sure to follow our Important Safely & Conduct Information.
Make Your First-Shot Your Best-Shot
The first few seconds of your video are very important. That's because it's out of those first few seconds that our servers will grab a frame (image) to use as the still-shot (photo) that shows up with your profile. So you might want to start-off with a nice big close-up of your smiling face or some other aspect of you or your personality that you'd like to highlight.
Important Safety & Conduct Information:
Protect Your Identity!
Remember that your videos can be seen by anyone. Be sure not to reveal any personal or private information such as your full name or phone number. Also, avoid images of your street address or license plate numbers in your videos.
Bear in mind that Say-hey-hey will never ask you for your password, email address, or other account or personal information via email (or via any other form of communication).
Code of Conduct
Say-hey-hey does not allow any lewd or rude videos. No nudity. No profanity. Violent, dangerous, illegal, sexually explicit, or just-plain-nasty videos are not allowed. If you see such videos, please report them using the "Flag as Inappropriate" link located just below the video player.
For more information regarding our Code of Conduct please refer to the Terms of Use page.
